Three Gig Weekend!

This weekend was a bit of an epic one, and perhaps a record for Doctor Moonshine. Three gigs in one weekend (Jimmy had five!), during a heatwave has left us all feeling a bit sleepy! It was a lot of fun though.

We started off on Thursday night with a lovely wedding at Plum Park for Rachel and Dan. Despite the beautiful weather outside the dancefloor was pretty full for most of evening! The half time pizza was pretty epic too…

Friday night took us to the recently reopened ‘The Whale’ in Buckingham. We don’t do loads of pub gigs these days, but The Whale is a good one! As is often expected in these places, we had a couple of audience members request to sing with us - resulting in an impromptu version of Jolean sung by Jo(lean) and Valerie sung by Caroline. Hopefully we’ll be back later in the year.

We were then up bright and breezy on Saturday morning to set up for Houlton Family Fun Day - an all day community festival showcasing local traders and artisans. We played three sets through the day and all managed to get a bit sunburnt!
